The 2021 blockbuster “Pushpa: The Rise,” featuring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, not only dominated the box office but also secured two National Awards. In a recent interview, Rashmika shared insights into the highly anticipated sequel, “Pushpa 2: The Rule.”
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, she expressed, “I can assure you that Pushpa 2 is going to be even grander. While we brought some madness in the first film, in part 2, we recognize the responsibility we carry due to heightened expectations. We are consistently and consciously striving to meet those expectations. I recently shot for a song for Pushpa 2, and I was amazed at the creativity involved. Everyone is deeply committed to creating a stellar film. We’ve gone all out, enjoying the process. The narrative has endless possibilities, making it a fun venture.”
When questioned about any pressure to match the success of the first film, Rashmika Mandanna responded, “There is no pressure. Watching the first film, I feel motivated to raise the bar. In Pushpa 2, my character has been well-thought-out and enhanced. I am genuinely excited but not nervous. Over the last two years, I’ve grown as an actor, allowing me to deliver better performances. That gives me confidence.”
Directed by Sukumar, renowned for “Rangasthalam,” Pushpa 2: The Rule also features Fahadh Faasil, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, and Sunil, with music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The initial installment, released in December 2021, achieved remarkable success, becoming a pan-India hit.
