A24 has announced that filmmaker Ari Aster’s upcoming movie, “Eddington,” will boast a stellar ensemble cast featuring Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, Austin Butler, and Pedro Pascal.
Ari Aster’s film, written and directed by the filmmaker himself, will include Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, and Clifton Collins Jr. in key roles.
While official plot details remain undisclosed, reports suggest that the film will follow a small-town New Mexico sheriff with ambitious aspirations.
This film is the one Ari Aster had previously hinted at, mentioning a reunion with Joaquin Phoenix following their collaboration on the 2023 movie “Beau Is Afraid.”
Ari Aster, renowned for his directorial successes like “Hereditary” (2018) and “Midsommar” (2019), will produce “Eddington” alongside Lars Knudsen through their Square Peg banner. This project signifies the sixth collaboration between Square Peg and A24, the production and distribution company behind “Hereditary,” “Midsommar,” and “Beau Is Afraid,” as well as upcoming productions such as “Dream Scenario” and “Death of a Unicorn.”
