Several reports, just days before the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, suggest that the Indian variants of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will be equipped with the Exynos 2400 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. In contrast, the higher-end Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with a slightly increased clock speed compared to standard chips found in other Android phones.

A recent leak from svztechinfo aligns with earlier leaks, indicating that there will be two versions of the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ based on either the Exynos 2400, Samsung’s in-house flagship chip, or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The latest reports suggest that in India, Samsung will introduce the Exynos variant.

Despite the use of different chipsets, the Snapdragon and Exynos variants of the Galaxy S24 and S24+ are anticipated to deliver similar performance. However, based on the Galaxy S22, the Snapdragon variant might offer better power efficiency compared to the Exynos variant.

The leak also reveals that all models in the Galaxy S24 series will feature a flat LTPO panel with variable refresh rate technology ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz. The Galaxy S24 will have an FHD+ resolution screen, while the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra will boast a QHD+ resolution screen.

In terms of camera setups, both the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will sport a triple-camera setup at the back, featuring a 50 MP primary sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10 MP telephoto zoom lens with 3x optical zoom. On the other hand, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will include a 200 MP primary sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 10 MP 3x telephoto lens, and a 50 MP 5x periscope zoom lens. All three models are reported to include a 12 MP selfie camera with support for up to 4K video recording.

Among the three, the Galaxy S24+ is expected to receive the most significant hardware upgrade, featuring a high-resolution display and a large 5,000 mAh battery, matching the one found on the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Pre-booking for these smartphones is already available for Rs 2,000, with Samsung offering additional benefits for those who pre-order before the official launch. The official unveiling of these smartphones is scheduled for the Samsung Unpacked event on January 17 in New York.
