Vijay Deverakonda is preparing for the launch of his upcoming family-oriented film, “Family Star”. Departing from his usual hyper-masculine roles, the Telugu actor portrays a working-class hero determined to safeguard his loved ones at all costs. In a recent interview, Deverakonda disclosed the significant influence director Parasuram had on his portrayal in the movie.
“In both ‘Geetha Govindam’ and ‘Family Star’, Parasuram, the director, has a distinct style of dialogue delivery and expression,” Deverakonda explained to Galatta Plus. “I closely observed his delivery on set, capturing the exact beat I needed to embody. With slight adjustments, I then reproduced it with my own facial expressions and body language. The credit truly belongs to Parasuram.”
“That’s my approach. I don’t require Stanislavski or any other method. All I need is to be on set. The more I can draw from Parasuram, the richer the scene becomes. It’s a collaborative process, where I’m just jamming with him, selecting the finest elements,” he elaborated.
When asked about his rapport with his “Family Star” co-star Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Deverakonda remarked, “Working with an intelligent actress like Mrunal makes it effortless. She has been in the industry long before I even thought of pursuing films. She grasps things quickly. I often remind her of her natural gift – her expressive face. Even without much effort, her emotions resonate profoundly. There’s a certain allure in the geometry of her nose, lips, and eyes that effortlessly conveys emotions, even if she’s unfamiliar with the language. Collaborating with her was a breeze.”
Deverakonda assures audiences that his character in “Family Star” will deliver laughs and amusement. The film is scheduled for release on April 5th.
