Telugu actor Rashmika Mandanna, renowned for her exceptional performance in the blockbuster film Pushpa: The Rise alongside Allu Arjun, has recently shared thrilling updates about its highly anticipated sequel, Pushpa: The Rule
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Mandanna tantalized fans with hints about the upcoming sequel, assuring them it will be nothing short of ‘massive’. She disclosed, “One thing I can promise is that it’s going to be massive. We’re halfway through. We just wrapped up shooting a huge song sequence, and when I return, I’ll be filming another song.”
Adding to the excitement, Mandanna hinted at an innovative release strategy for Pushpa 2, suggesting the potential for a simultaneous launch in Japan. She remarked, “We’re considering releasing Pushpa 2 in Japan on the same day. We’re in discussions about it.”
Reflecting on reuniting with the cast and crew, Mandanna expressed her excitement, highlighting how the strong bond forged during the first film makes returning for the sequel feel like returning home. She exclaimed, “It starts to feel like home. Towards the end of the first film, you become really connected with the cast and crew. So when part 2 comes around, it’s like, ‘Yayy!'”
Regarding her character’s evolution in Pushpa 2, Mandanna teased exciting twists and turns, disclosing, “In Pushpa 2, my character has now taken on the role of Pushpa’s wife, bringing new responsibilities. As we navigate bigger conflicts and drama in the sequel, there’s definitely more spice to look forward to.”
Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa is the story of a daily labourer’s ascent into the underworld of redwood smuggling. The film is the next big venture in Telugu cinema, and it is expected to be released this year
