Officials reported that four coaches of the Sabarmati-Agra superfast train derailed near Ajmer station on Monday morning. The incident occurred around 1 am, with no loss of life reported. The express train was en route to Agra at the time of the derailment.
“The incident occurred as the train passed Ajmer station and was approaching Madar station. The cause of the derailment is currently unknown,” said Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of the North Western Railway (NWR) Zone, speaking to PTI.

“No injuries or casualties have been reported. Train operations in both up and down directions toward Delhi have resumed. We are also preparing to resume services in the direction of Uttar Pradesh,” he added.
The North Western Railway (NWR) has established a helpdesk at Ajmer station and provided a helpline number, 0145-2429642, for the relatives of passengers on the affected train, the official stated.
“Six trains have been cancelled, and two trains have been redirected to alternative routes,” Kiran mentioned.
