Niharika Konidela, the actor and niece of megastar Chiranjeevi, recently shared insights about her divorce from Chaitanya JV. Despite their picturesque wedding in Udaipur in 2020, rumors surfaced about their split a year later, and they confirmed their divorce in July 2023. In a recent podcast with Nikhil Vijayendra Simha, Niharika candidly discussed the emotional toll of the separation. Chaitanya responded to the podcast, urging for a balanced perspective in the narrative.
In a snippet from the podcast shared by Nikhil, Niharika expressed, “I’m in a phase where I prioritize self-growth and supporting my parents. Depending on the wrong person isn’t an option. The pain of my divorce is deeply personal, known only to me after almost two years.”
She continued, acknowledging her father Nagababu’s unwavering support: “I’m grateful for my father’s unconditional love, affirming that my happiness matters most. The experience of divorce underscored the importance of family. While everyone enters marriage with hopes of a lifelong bond, reality may differ. At 30, I remain open to love but prioritize independence and personal development before pursuing another relationship. At present, I embrace my single status.”
Chaitanya addressed a lengthy note in the comments section, directing his words not to Niharika but to the host of the podcast, Nikhil.
He began by expressing gratitude towards Nikhil for his efforts in combating the recent unjust criticism directed at Niharika. Chaitanya acknowledged the challenge of dealing with such negativity alongside personal turmoil.
However, he urged Nikhil to refrain from indirectly portraying Niharika as a victim or attaching labels to their marriage. This was the second instance of such implication, according to Chaitanya. He emphasized that the pain and healing process following a divorce are shared by both parties, and discussing only one side could disrupt this healing journey. While discussing the aftermath and healing process is constructive, he suggested involving all concerned parties and presenting a complete timeline to provide a balanced view to the public.
Chaitanya concluded by highlighting the importance of not judging individuals without understanding the full picture. He stressed that using the platform to convey indirect messages from one perspective is equally unfair. He hoped for understanding on this matter.
Chaitanya’s comment garnered support from numerous netizens who offered words of encouragement.
